In the style of the Bayeux Tapestry

A priest at St. Wulfram's in Grantham, a town which, at the time of the Domesday Book in 1086, had 72 smallholders, 111 burgesses, and four mills. In 1066, it was held by Queen Edith. Maegleas was created for one scene, when Swaefred, the village priest in Heorlafestoun found himself needing advice, Father Maegleas, his mentor, was created to provide it. My original intention was for Maegleas to simply disappear after that scene, his entire task in the novel finished. I was rather pleasantly surprised later in the book to discover that Maegleas had other ideas and his reappearance has potentially major repercussions for several other characters and their plans.
